‘F.E.A.R.’-Inspired Shooter ‘Trepang2’ Comes to PlayStation and Xbox October 2nd

Those console owners itching for Trepang Studios’ Trepang2 will finally get their opportunity next month when the F.E.A.R.-inspired shooter comes to PlayStation and Xbox. Previously released this past June for PC, Trepang2 comes to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series on October 2nd.

And for those who pre-order Trepang2 on either the PlayStation Store or on the Microsoft Store, you’ll also snag a pre-order bonus DLC of a unique costume that can be equipped from the safehouse in the game. There will also be a physical version of the game.

Described as a spiritual successor to the fast-paced and over-the-top first-person shooters of the mid-2000s (namely Monolith’s previously-mentioned F.E.A.R.), Trepang2 “pairs high-octane, first-person gun-fu gameplay with a devastating heavy metal soundtrack”. Stepping into the boots of a newly enhanced super soldier broken out from a government black site, you’ll embark on a supernatural journey of death, destruction, and corporate conspiracies.

Arm yourself with a hefty arsenal of weapons while mastering an array of newfound superhuman abilities including time distortion invisibility and superhuman speed, all the while hunted by your former captors and even more otherworldly foes. Along with your array of guns, you’ve also got melee combat to pulverize your enemies with a combination of punches, kicks and slides.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
