Social Deduction Horror Game ‘Deceit 2’ Available Now on Steam, Console Editions Coming Soon [Trailer]

Published

As the launch trailer proclaims, World Makers’ horror social deduction title Deceit 2 is here! Out today on Steam, the game will be coming soon to PlayStation and Xbox with full crossplay compatibility between PC and console players.

“We wanted to expand the narrative threads for Deceit 2 and reintroduce the Game Master’s lore because without the Game Master, there is no Deceit universe,” said James Thompson, CEO, World Makers. “The team had to create a special kind of energy to craft experiences that tap into these Eldritch horrors and redefine what our game and the social deduction genre can be. Our demented hope is to leave players running and screaming but also coming back for more.”

Just in case you missed the Fear Fest trailer, Deceit 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2017 original, and divides players into two groups: Innocent and Infected. In a race against time, players must work together to collect souls and communicate using the proximity chat to determine who is the Infected. How you handle deception determines whether or not you will survive. And beware of the In-Between phase, where Terrors can eliminate their victims one by one.

Re-built from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5, Deceit 2 features new items, nine-player matches, and overhauled gameplay.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
