Let’s be honest: It was a bummer when Limited Run Games announced the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection, and the Sega Genesis games were absent from the announced titles. Thankfully, Limited Run Games has rectified that glaring omission, announcing this afternoon that Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition have now been added to the collection.
The two Sega Genesis games, which were developed by BlueSky Software (instead of the Ocean Software-developed Nintendo games), will include the same enhancements as the previously-announced titles. That includes save states and in-game maps. It’s not known yet if Limited Run Games will be doing reproduction carts for the Genesis games like they’re doing for the Nintendo titles.
In case you missed it, the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection packages together the NES, Game Boy and SNES versions of Ocean Software’s Jurassic Park, the SNES and Game Boy versions of Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues and now the Sega Genesis titles for a digital and physical release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 & Xbox One. Currently, the collection is on for pre-order now until October 15.
