‘Spawn’, ‘Evil Dead’, ‘Doom’ and More Coming to ‘Call of Duty’ Games as Part of “The Haunting” Halloween Event

Activision is once again dipping into horror for the upcoming Halloween season with “The Haunting” for Call of Duty. A few years ago, we got Ghostface dropping into Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. And coming up on this year’s Halloween update, fans will be treated to crossovers from the likes of Spawn, Evil Dead, Hellsing, and more!

The whole thing kicks off after September 27, when Season 6 arrives for Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone. The skins will also be available for Modern Warfare III when it launches.

The Haunting event for Call of Duty officially begins at mid-season, which includes Halloween-themed maps, modes, and events. That includes four new Multiplayer maps, and a Battle Pass “stocked with devilishly entertaining new Operators and Weapon Blueprints, and more.”

The Season 6 Battle Pass will start things off with the Spawn franchise. Al Simmons (Spawn’s living world identity) will be unlocked as an Operator upon being purchased. From there, you have Spawn’s costume as a Tier 0 and Tier 100 skin, with these other skins available:

  • Burned Spawn (Al Simmons Skin)
  • Creepy Clown (Fender Skin)
  • Violator (König Skin)
  • Disruptor (Horangi Skin)
  • Soul Crusher (Vega Skin)
  • Nikto Spawn (Nikto Skin)

Alongside Spawn, you also have Inarius and Lilith from Diablo coming to the event as Operators, alongside He-Man’s Skeletor, Evil Dead’s Ash Williams, and Hellsing’s Alucard.

If that’s not enough, DOOM will be making a crossover appearance in the form of the DOOM Tracer Weapon Bundle, which includes an arsenal of gear (including a Chainsaw and a long-range Shotgun).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III launches on November 10 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
