Post-launch Roadmap Detailed for 10th Anniversary Re-Release of ‘Slender: The Arrival’

Published

on

Ahead of the arrival of the revamped version of Slender: The Arrival on October 18, developer Blue Isle Studios revealed the roadmap for the game’s 10th Anniversary re-release. The roadmap details additional content coming post-release, including an extended Slenderman storyline, multiplayer, and cross-platform modding (via CurseForge Studios and Overwolf), with an anticipated release in Q2 2024.

For those wanting to team up to face Slenderman together, players will be able to face the darkness together in cooperative multiplayer. It’s not clear if crossplay will be available across PC and consoles, however.

What is clear, however is cross-platform modding for Slender: The Arrival. Players will be able to create their own scenarios (either single or multiplayer) and share them on all platforms. Modders will be able to use the same tools featured in the 10th Anniversary update used by Blue Isle Studios designers.

Lastly, the roadmap reveals a fresh DLC expansion for Slender: The Arrival that includes three new chapters. Details on the DLC are still forthcoming, but the chapters will include never-before-seen regions, new characters, and of course, more horror.

Slender: The Arrival is currently out on Steam, with the game coming to the Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are now open, with Blue Isle Studios giving out a free copy of Valley with all pre-orders.

Survios Announces VR Title ‘Alien: Rogue Incursion’, Coming This Year [Trailer]

Remember back in 2022 when developer Survios had announced that they were teaming up with 20th Century Games to develop a new Alien title? Well seeing as it’s Alien Day, Survios has announced their brand-new VR title, Alien: Rogue Incursion. Coming “Holiday 2024” to the PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, and Quest 3, Rogue Incursion will feature an original story that “fully surrounds players within the terrors of the Alien universe”.

Details on the game are light at the moment, but the official site describes the upcoming title as being “designed by Alien fans for Alien fans”, with Survios aiming to craft a “technically advanced, and frightfully immersive Alien virtual reality game.”

Seeing as Alien: Isolation never got official VR support when it was released, this is obviously a welcome announcement. In the meantime, if you’re keen to experience an Alien game in VR, you can always check out the fan-made mod for Alien: Isolation by Nibre_, which allows both the Steam and Epic Games Store version of Alien: Isolation to be played using the Oculus.

And speaking of Alien: Isolation, as you might expect, it’s got a hefty 80% discount going on at the moment on Steam until May 1. So if you still haven’t grabbed it after all these years, this is as good a time as any.
