‘The Walking Dead: Destinies’ Launches on PC and Consoles on November 17th [Trailer]

GameMill Entertainment and AMC have announced that their third-person narrative-driven action-adventure title The Walking Dead: Destinies will launch on November 17th for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. In addition, the developers have given us a glimpse of the game’s action as well as some of the critical moments players will encounter in a new gameplay trailer.

As was mentioned when the game was first revealed back in August, Destinies plays out using the multiple choice mechanic of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, only this time you take on the role of Rick Grimes with the ability to carve out your own path through the show’s events. You start out as Rick waking alone in a hospital surrounded by the dead. From there, you assemble allies from over twelve characters from the series, and fight your way through the walker apocalypse across iconic locations from The Walking Dead.

In crucial choice-driven moments, you’ll shape the destiny of your team of characters from the series. Heroes and villains, living and dead it’s up to you to decide whether to stay the course of history or forge your own path. Along the way, you’ll be slaying hordes of walkers in third-person action with a variety of melee and ranged weapons, including bats, katanas, revolvers, shotguns, and crossbows.

Along with managing your limited resources, you’ll have to scavenge for weapons and ammo, and maximize your party’s abilities to stay alive. That involves defending your camp, rescuing survivors, and fighting through stealth and all-out combat.

Pre-orders are now open via the official site.

Endless Mode Available Now in New Update for ‘Life Eater’

Published

on

Fans of Strange Scaffold and publisher Frosty Pop’s apocalyptic Life Eater have another reason to keep coming back to the game, as the much-anticipated Endless Mode is available now. Best of all, it’s a free update!

The new endless mode gives Life Eater players an arena to determine how long they can evade capture while delaying the end of the world. Collect score points called ZEAL by building an airtight procedure around your sacrifices, investigate the lives of countless procedurally generated kidnapping targets, and survive as long as possible in your personal gauntlet of nightmares.

“We’re so excited to expand the playtime of Life Eater with a uniquely dark and intriguing systemic experience,” says Strange Scaffold founder Xalavier Nelson Jr. “You really just terrorize an entire city of people over the span of decades, now, and I can only hope that I don’t come to regret writing that sentence in a press release.”

For those not in the know, Life Eater (check out Aaron’s review here) is a horror fantasy kidnapping simulator where you play as a druid living in suburbia. You serve a dark entity by abducting and sacrificing specific but vaguely described humans every year to stop the apocalypse. Use a unique video editing-inspired interface to discover the intimate lives of your victims, one schedule block at a time. When the time is right, abduct them before authorities find out.

You can snag a copy of Life Eater on Steam.
