Stealth FPS ‘Blood West’ Exits Early Access, Launches December 5th on Steam [Trailer]

Published

Initially launching into Early Access back in February 2022, Hyperstrange’s wild west shooter Blood West will be leaving Early Access and launching in full on Steam on December 5th. In the lead-up to the 1.0 launch, the developers have released a new trailer to give players another look at the eldritch horrors awaiting in the third and final chapter of the game.

Blood West is described as “an immersive Wild West FPS” where, as a revenant desperado, you take on the twisted demons and eldritch horrors. All the while, you search for a way to end the curse that has gripped the frontier, and maybe find some peace for your wicked soul. You need to plan your steps wisely to fight the terrors that corrupt these lands. Be stealthy, gain the advantage, and attack from the shadows. However, as these things go, you can always resort to your firepower when things don’t go according to plan. Along the way, you’ll be able to learn new perks to aid you in your journey.

With the full launch of the game next month, players will be able to experience the third and final part of Blood West’s story, which takes players to the mountains, a region even deadlier than the mines and the swamp in previous chapters. The 1.0 version of Blood West will also feature the voice talents of Stephen L. Russell, better known for his roles in Thief, Dishonored 2, and many others.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

on

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
