ESRB Rating Appears for ‘Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition’ for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC

Bandai Namco gave Little Nightmares fans the mobile version of the hit platformer last month, and it appears for 2024 that they aren’t quite done with revisiting the original game. According to the ESRB, Bandai Namco is planning a Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.

This (so far) unannounced version of Little Nightmares was originally spotted by Gematsu on South Africa’s Film and Publication Board last January. This new rating summary on the ESRB website doesn’t really detail anything more about Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition, so we’re only left to speculate on what it entails.

One could assume that the game will sport the usual current-gen enhancements, such as increased resolution up to 4K visuals, as well as including all of the previously-released DLC. It’s not known if this would be a free upgrade for existing owners of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

Here’s the summary from the ESRB website for Little Nightmares: Enhanced Edition:

“This is an adventure platformer in which players assume the role of a girl (Six) who must escape a nightmarish world. As players traverse the environment, they run, jump, climb, and sneak around to avoid enemies (e.g., leaches, large human-like creatures). Getting caught usually results in short death scenes: corrupted souls eating Six whole; leeches strangling Six to death. One sequence depicts a pool of blood around a fallen boss after Six attacks her out of hunger; another sequence allows players to electrocute a character by dropping a TV into a pool. A hanging corpse and various blood stains are also depicted in some environments.”

The original version of Little Nightmares is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The Steam version is currently enjoying a hefty discount (along with its sequel) as part of Steam’s Winter Sale until January 4th.

Jason Voorhees Slashing His Way into WB Video Game ‘MultiVersus’!

Published

Just days after the announcement of the Jason Universe, which promised upcoming video games and more as part of a whole new era for the Jason Voorhees character, a new trailer for the relaunch of MultiVersus this morning has confirmed Jason is coming to the game.

WB Games and Player First Games will release MultiVersus on May 28, with the video game uniting pop culture icons from the Warner Bros. brand. That includes Stripe from Gremlins and Jason Voorhees himself, whose movie rights are under the WB/New Line umbrella.

Watch the official MultiVersus launch trailer below for the Jason reveal!

Jason’s addition to MultiVersus is a pretty big deal, as it wasn’t all that long ago that the Friday the 13th franchise’s rights issues spelled the end of his own video game. Now that all rights holders are working together, this is only the beginning of the character’s big return.

MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighter with an ever-expanding cast of iconic characters and legendary universes, various online modes, in-game events, on-going content-filled seasons, and more.

MultiVersus will be available as a free download for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series , Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with full cross-play and cross-progression support.

As for the Jason Universe, that’s promising “activations spanning a wide range of platforms from entertainment, games, immersive experiences, merchandise and more to be announced throughout 2024.” A TV series is also in the works, but no movies at this time.
