Psychological Horror Game ‘REVEIL’ to Release on March 6th for PC, Consoles [Trailer]

Published

on

Originally aiming for a 2023 release, developer Pixelsplit has announced that their atmospheric psychological horror game REVEIL will be heading to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on March 6. The announcement was accompanied by a short trailer, and a time-limited 10% discount on Steam to pre-purchase the game.

REVEIL puts players in the body and mind of Walter Thompson as he seeks his missing wife and daughter through the depths of his reality, psyche, and memories. Set against the backdrop of an “authentically orchestrated environment” inspired by the circus of the 60s, Walter wakes up one morning unable to remember much of the previous night. His wife Martha and daughter Dorie are nowhere to be found. His search for answers leads him to the Nelson Bros Circus, where Walter was once employed as a stage builder. As you piece together what transpired, things get progressively more bizarre, as the lines between reality, memory, and imagination become increasingly blurred.

For those looking for an additionally engrossing performance, REVEIL will also have a Funhouse Edition release on the same day. Here’s what’s included in this version:

  • Five original songs written and produced for REVEIL, featured in previous trailers
  • Digital Artbook filled with 41 pages of “atmos-fear”
  • An unlockable black-and-white camera effect
  • Unlockable developer commentary
  • An encore of five audio plays that allow players to dive deeper into the world and lore of REVEIL, recorded with the original voice actors from the game

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

on

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
