Published

Sony is reaching into the cross-promo bag for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, this time giving fans of Bungie’s Destiny 2 some in-game accessories inspired by the upcoming Gil Kenan film. Available now, these items include the Slimer Exotic Ghost shell, a Garraka-inspired Exotic Sparrow, and an Ecto-1-themed Exotic ship.

As an extra bonus, those players who purchase either the set or any of the individual items will also be eligible to download the Bungie Rewards Slimer Ghost Shell papercraft mask, exclusively through the Bungie Store at no additional cost.

In addition to the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire items, Bungie has also launched the premiere of the livestream series leading to the launch of Destiny 2: Into the Light on April 9. Viewers can join the Destiny 2 development team for a close-up look at gameplay, upcoming features, and the chance to snag exclusive emblems through Twitch Drops.

And while you wait for Destiny 2 to boot up, why not bust some ghosts from the comfort of your couch?

Directed by Gil Kenan (with Ghostbusters: Afterlife director Jason Reitman as producer), Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire sees the Spengler family return to the iconic New York City firehouse to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level.

But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

The cast includes Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind, alongside Bill Murray, Finn Wolfhard, Ernie Hudson, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Annie Potts, Dan Aykroyd and Carrie Coon.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

on

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
