Demo Now Available for Surreal Horror Title ‘Necrophosis’

Published

on

Rather than waiting next month for Steam Next Fest, Dragonis Games and Adonis Brosteanu have elected to make the previously-teased demo for the upcoming surreal horror adventure title Necrophosis available now on the game’s Steam page.

Drawing upon the works of Zdzisław Beksiński, the story for Necrophosis takes place billions of years after the universe met its demise. You awaken in a realm where death reigns supreme, but even death may die. Necrophosis, the curse that plagues this world, inflicts decay upon everything it touches. Here, amidst a landscape crafted with meticulous care, dread and decay permeate every corner. The characters of this world, infected by the curse, embody the very essence of decay.

The demo features a sampling of the unique mix of haunting narrations and evocative poetry found in Necrophosis, along with the puzzles that play a crucial part of a larger enigmatic narrative. Players will go through “a mysterious and macabre series of events”, coming face to face with horrific entities and mind-bending puzzles, where “the boundaries between reality and hellish visions blur into a haunting tapestry of dread.” Each location features its own theme, puzzles, and integral characters, interconnected in a non-linear fashion.

If that’s not enough, players will encounter Lovecraftian themes and entities from the Lovecraftian universe on their journey through Necrophosis.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

on

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
