New Demo Now Available for Psychological Horror Game ‘Mouthwashing’ [Trailer]

Published

on

For those who have been waiting for a chance to dive deeper into Wrong Organ’s surreal psychological horror title Mouthwashing (Aaron checked it out back in February during Steam Next Fest), you now have your chance with a brand-new demo. This coincides with the announcement that Wrong Organ has teamed up with publisher CRITICAL REFLEX to release Mouthwashing, though no release date has been announced as of yet.

Mouthwashing isn’t the only indie horror title that’s now under the CRITICAL REFLEX banner, which will publish the titles under the CR Channel publishing label. The collection of titles includes Mike Klubnika’s Buckshot Roulette, free found-footage horror game TELEFORUM, and three upcoming titles: horror-sim Regular Home Renovation Simulator, horror fishing adventure Drowned Lake, and surreal hand-painted adventure Flawless Abbey (which also has a demo available).

From the team that brought you the “indie pescatarian darling” How Fish is Made, Mouthwashing centres on the crew of Pony Express’s interplanetary freighter Tulpar. When the freighter goes off course, its five crew members find themselves stranded with a diminishing supply of resources.

Faced with the threat of starvation and the crippling isolation that comes with being stranded, the crew must fight back paranoia and hallucinations as they come to realize the question is not whether they will survive, but when they will perish… and who will be responsible.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

on

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
