Nightdive and Ziggurat Interactive Team up to Bring ‘Killing Time: Resurrected to PC and Consoles This Year [Trailer]

Nightdive are diving back into the sea of Doom clones from the mid 90s, this time teaming up with publisher Ziggurat Interactive to announce an HD remaster of Studio 3DO’s 1995 FPS, Killing Time. Described as “the bastard child of Doom and The 7th Guest“, Killing Time: Resurrected will be coming later this year to PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.

Originally released for the 3DO and ported to the PC, Killing Time used a mix of gallows humour, FMV and puzzles to create a unique experience for players. Killing Time: Resurrected features toggleable high-resolution character artwork/sprites from the original 3DO and PC versions of the game, upscaled environmental texturing, smoother gameplay, more responsive controls, and expanded control and key-bind settings, including PlayStation and Xbox controllers.

Set in the early 1930s, Killing Time casts players as a former Egyptology student trapped in the estate of wealthy heiress Tess Conway. Ms. Conway’s ritual to bestow eternal life backfires, and her high-society friends vanish without a trace. It’s up to players to find and destroy the mystical Egyptian Water-Clock to undo its curse and face a legion of supernatural horrors.

If you’re the curious type, the original version of Killing Time is still available on Steam.

Lara Croft From ‘Tomb Raider’ Joins ‘Dead by Daylight’ on July 16

Published

Lara Croft has normally tip-toed the horror line in the Tomb Raider series, but now she’s going all in as the newest Survivor for Dead by Daylight. Lara will be joining The Fog on July 16, with a Public Test Build currently happening on Steam.

The story for this latest DLC has Lara Croft trapped in the bleak Realm of the Entity, stripped of her bow and trusty pistols. She must now use her survival skills, bravery and tenacity in order to escape. Those three qualities are manifested in her 3 unique Perks that will tip the scales in her favor.

Finesse activates while you are healthy, with your fast vaults 20% faster. This perk does have a cooldown after performing a fast vault, which is reduced per level. Hardened activates after you unlock a chest and cleanse or bless a totem. Anytime you would scream, you now reveal the Killer’s aura instead. Lastly is Specialist, where each time you open or rummage through a chest, you gain 1 token. When you do a great skill check on a generator, all tokens are consumed, reducing the maximum required generator progress.

The update (for which you can check out the notes here) will also have various gameplay tweaks to other perks, updates for certain Killers, as well as the usual bug fixes.

Dead by Daylight: Tomb Raider will be available for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.

In the meantime, you can check out the latest crossover for Dead by Daylight with Dungeons & Dragons.
