Observational Horror Game ‘Shift 87’ Available Now [Trailer]
A week after announcing its release date, Pixelsplit and Daedalic Entertainment’s first-person anomaly and observation horror title Shift 87 stuck to the announcement, and is now available on Steam. And as further incentive, you can pick up Shift 87 with a 10% discount from now until August 6.
From the creators of REVEIL, Shift 87 has you working for NORN Corp., where your job is a simple one: testing out the company’s latest disruptive technology through three levels of “handcrafted, highly atmospheric environments.” That involves navigating your way through the procedurally-generated environment, noting any strange sights.
You’re not in any (immediate) danger when it comes to inaccurate reporting of discrepancies. However, accuracy is important, as incorrect reports lead to a “reset of the sequence.” Shift 87 is a short playthrough of 2-3 hours, but you’ll have 66 possible anomalies to note, with you obtaining a secret ending if you find all of them. However, there is one caveat: 50% of the anomalies may be easy to spot, but the other 50% are more subtle and easy to miss.

Learn the Rules of the Game in New ‘SAW: Genesis’ Overview Video [Watch]
After the surprise reveal of SAW: Genesis at Summer Game Fest, Bloober Team has followed up the reveal with a new video giving an overview of the features available to players in the upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer title.
Co-developed by Broken Mirror Games and Anshar Studios, the game is set in the grim aftermath of World War I, where you play on either side of a 3v1 confrontation in intense matches that take place on procedurally generated maps. The game is built for short, intense matches where no two trials play out the same.
Players can either step into the role of the Judge, an early architect of Jigsaw’s philosophy, manipulating the trial and its prisoners from behind the scenes. Or, they can play as one of three Accused looking to escape the deadly labyrinth through teamwork and sacrifice. Shaped by their experiences in The Great War, the Judge is dedicated to rehabilitating humanity through pain and sacrifice.
Your goal as the Judge is to rehabilitate the Accused, making them choose between life and limb rather than killing them. Live or die. They make their choice.
Customize your approach with perks and traps, then seek to control the match from the shadows. Unlike other asymmetrical multiplayer games, the Judge is physically vulnerable and cannot overpower the Accused through sheer force alone.
SAW: Genesis is currently in development for release into Steam Early Access.
