Fantastic Games Lineup Revealed for Fantastic Fest; ‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game’ Event Also Announced
After announcing the inaugural Fantastic Games: Presented by Day of the Devs two months ago, Fantastic Fest and Day of the Devs have now revealed the lineup for the event, which takes place from September 20 – 22 during the 19th edition of Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas. Along with the lineup, the majority of which includes a number of unreleased titles, it’s been announced that IllFonic will be holding a theatre presentation for theater presentation involving their asymmetric multiplayer title, Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game.

All of the games in the lineup will be available for all festival attendees to play – some of which will be playable for the first time ever. As for the theatre presentation by IllFonic, details are still under wraps. However, if you’re itching for some new Killer Klowns content, you can check out the recently-released Waterfront Pier map.
Fantastic Fest runs from September 19 – 26, and will include the world premiere of Damien Leone‘s Terrifier 3 on opening night.

Originally released on Steam back in 2022, The Backrooms: Lost Tape ushers you back, quite literally, into the movie theatre.
Separated into two chapters (tapes), you’ll first play as an usher, Josh, who accidentally falls into the Backrooms. As you explore, you will be desperately trying to unravel the mysteries of the intertwined, sprawling yellow rooms to find any means of escape. Each empty space may not be as empty as it seems… malevolent entities stand in your way of freedom.
With the second tape, in an intense mission to find out what happened to Josh, more of the haunting story starts to unfold. Take a deeper dive into the unsettling and eerie world as Nikolas, as this chapter introduces its own unique challenges. Will Nikolas ever discover its secrets and find out what happened to Josh?
The PlayStation 5 release of The Backrooms: Lost Tape coincides with a major update for the Steam version, which has seen the game upgraded to Unreal Engine 5.6. That also entails updated visuals, full controller support, and various bug fixes.
