Creative Assembly Announces ‘Alien: Isolation’ Sequel Early in Development!
Dreams do come true. And for fans of Alien: Isolation, the dream of a sequel is coming to fruition, thanks to Creative Assembly and Sega. Creative Assembly Creative Director Al Hope broke the news today that on the 10th anniversary of Alien: Isolation‘s release, the team is early in the process of developing a sequel!
“When we started developing Alien: Isolation, we had one guiding principle: to create a truly authentic experience that went back to the roots of the Alien franchise,” Hope wrote in a post to X announcing the sequel.
“It’s been nothing short of incredible to witness [the fans’] passion for the game over the years and see it reach so many players around the world. It was a dream project brough to life by a brilliant team, and the reception you have given it over the years is extraordinary.”
Hope went on to say that he has heard fans “distress calls” over the years for a sequel. “Today, I’m delight to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development. We look forward to sharing more details with you when we’re ready.”
If for whatever reason you haven’t checked out one of the best Alien video games ever, you can grab it on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store (with a hefty discount on Steam right now), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.

Get a Taste of the Action-Packed Terror in the Demo for FPS Shooter ‘BLIGHTEN’ [Trailer]
For those itching for some throwback first-person shooter action, Blight Software has just had a demo released for their upcoming FPS BLIGHTEN. The demo sees you and your squad selected to eliminate the last rebels in the eastern wastes, only to have your slaughtered, and you trapped in a decaying research facility. And you’re not alone.
You’ll explore every room of the facility for resources and weapons in an effort to stay alive. Luckily, you’ll have an extensive arsenal of various firearms at your disposal, from shotguns to assault rifles.
You’ll need them in order to take down the various blight-ridden mutated horrors throughout the mega structure. As one would expect, you’ll need to scrounge for parts and ammo, so make every shot count.
Similar to what players experienced in the early PlayStation classic Alien Trilogy, BLIGHTEN sports hand-drawn enemy sprites and animation in a 3D retro world, creating a unique and dynamic atmosphere while still scratching that throwback itch.
It’s all wrapped up in a dark narrative, where an unseen evil lurks in the shadows of the facility, shaping the horrors around you as you descend deeper into the facility. As you navigate this industrial nightmare, every Blightened creature slain is a grim reminder to what you’ve lost — and the things you’re fighting for.
Look for BLIGHTEN later this year on Steam.
