‘DREDGE’ Comes to Mobile Devices This December

Published

on

After conquering consoles, Black Salt Games is turning to mobile next with DREDGE coming to Android and iOS devices later this year. Launching December 18th, you can pre-order DREDGE via the App Store now, while Google Play Pre-registration will be up in the coming weeks.

Pre-ordering on either platform before launch day will award players with a custom starting rod. Meanwhile, Apple users will be able to play the first area in DREDGE as a demo when the game launches if you’re still on the fence about buying the full version, similar to the demos available on Nintendo and PlayStation.

DREDGE has been fully optimised for mobile, offering touch controls and controller support across both phones and tablets. Players will enjoy the same captivating gameplay and story as the original release, now reworked to deliver a seamless mobile experience. The mobile version will include all the downloadable content, with expansions such as The Pale Reach and The Iron Rig available as in-app purchases.

To ensure optimal performance across devices, the mobile version of DREDGE offers customizable visual settings, allowing players to adjust features like reflections, and some devices will be able to take advantage of automatic adaptive performance to balance battery life and gameplay quality.

The Lovecraftian fishing adventure is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. And keep an eye out for the Collector’s Edition of DREDGE, which is coming to PS5 and the Switch next month.

Horror Mystery Visual Novel ‘Scarlet Hollow’ Receives Expansion of First Five Chapters

Published

on

Black Tabby Games has dropped a little update on the progress for Scarlet Hollow, announcing that writing work on their planned expansion to the game’s first five episodes has finished, with the team pivoting to the art. Testing for the update is set to begin in “about a couple of weeks,” though if you’re a Patreon member, you can get early access to it.

The update adds around 70,000 words of new and remastered content, with most of it expanding some of the shorter sections. The update also tweaks certain aspects of gameplay, as well as adding more dialogue (obviously) between characters, and even revamps one of the endings to the fifth episode.

The team also confirmed that writing for Episode 6 is well underway, though no release date has been announced.

Currently in Early Access on Steam, Scarlet Hollow is an immersive horror-mystery with sharp writing, impactful choices, and meticulously hand-drawn art. What was supposed to be a quiet getaway in the rural mountains of North Carolina to meet your long-lost cousin and comfort her through her mother’s funeral, has turned into a nightmare of cryptids and other supernatural horrors. You only have to survive a week. But can you get to the bottom of these mysteries haunting Scarlet Hollow before they claim your life?
