Absurd Action Game ‘Priest Simulator: Vampire Show’ Launches on Steam Today [Trailer]
If you’re in the mood for a little “what the…” gaming, then Asmodev and publisher Ultimate Games S.A. have something for you. Their “mockumental” action game Priest Simulator: Vampire Show is exiting Early Access on Steam today and launching in full. In addition to the launch, the paid DLC add-on for the game, Her Ghost, is also now available.
A little “South Park,” a little mockumentary, a little Postal, and a little No More Heroes, Priest Simulator: Vampire Show is a single-player first-person action game that combines various labels including shooter, hack’n’slash, mockumentary, simulator, racing, renovator, and sandbox. Going along with the mash-up of genres is a completely messed-up story that will introduce you to the fantastic world of modern Poland. The player takes on the role of the vampire Orlok, who becomes a priest in the village of San de Ville. The player then has to take care of his faithful and fight evil. The player’s duties also include performing exorcisms, renovating the church, and many other exciting activities.
“This is a unique and independent game with a large dose of uncompromising,” says COO of Ultimate Games S.A., Rafal Jelonek. “Priest Simulator: Vampire Show provides a crazy and bizarre adventure in grotesque-absurd realities. If one already compares this title to other games, the Postal series and games from Grasshopper Manufacture, including, for example, the No More Heroes series or Lollipop Chainsaw, come to mind.”
As part of Early Access, the game has been developing since October 2022. During that time – in addition to numerous improvements and bug fixes – the title was fully soundtracked, and the developers added a total of dozens of new cutscenes. The list of new features also includes, among others, races, story flashbacks, new quests, locations, and mechanics, as well as a new ending. The final version of Priest Simulator: Vampire Show offers a full soundtrack with English and Polish dubbing.

Bloody Body Horror Revealed in ‘Stellar Blade: Blood Rain’, Currently in Development [Trailer]
Shift Up has shifted things dramatically from 2024’s action-adventure game Stellar Blade, offering up a body horror bonanza in the newly announced sequel, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain. The sequel is currently early in development, but if the trailer is any indication, players will be in for plenty of body horror.
Continuing the story from the original Stellar Blade, Blood Rain will star a new protagonist named Eve. Earth has been abandoned, and what is left of humanity has fled to a Colony in outer space.
Shift Up had mentioned during a Q&A following its latest earnings presentation last month that development on Blood Rain (which was still unannounced at the time) was progressing smoothly, and was on track to meet their targeted quality standards.
Shift Up stated that with this new title it would be transitioning to a first-party service model, effectively moving away from the restrictions the game experienced with original publisher Sony, which had the game under an exclusivity agreement for the PlayStation 5. “This will allow us to lead marketing strategies that fully reflect the distinctive identity of the Stellar Blade IP, and we expect to communicate the unique appeal of its universe to players more directly and effectively.”
Whether this means that Xbox Players will finally be able to play the original game (or its sequel) is still not clear. Meanwhile, Stellar Blade is reportedly being ported to the Nintendo Switch 2, but no official confirmation has been made.
