‘BrokenLore: LOW’ Now Available on Steam; ‘DON‘T WATCH’ Arrives March 20 [Trailer]

Published

on

Despite the unorthodox approach to its development, Serafini Productions’ psychological horror title BrokenLore: LOW is finally out on Steam. This comes after it was announced as the third entry in the series nine months ago while the other two titles were still in development. Those two titles, DON’T WATCH and FOLLOW, are due out later this year, with DON’T WATCH arriving March 20. A demo for LOW is also available.

Set 20 years before the events of UNFOLLOW, the story for BrokenLore:LOW focuses on a woman named Naomi Montgomery. Set in the remote town of Kirisame Mura (Village of the Mist) in Japan, Naomi arrives in the town for a professional opportunity that promises to launch her music career. However, she soon finds herself facing off against a sinister presence of the village, which in turn is the result of a dark legend that haunts the town, having cursed all of its inhabitants.

Kirisame Mura is designed as a labyrinth with no way out, symbolizing the cycle of wrong decisions and broken destinies faced by Naomi. The game’s structure emphasizes this concept, along with themes of envy, ambition, and failure.

BrokenLore: LOW also features a retro graphical segment, which plays a crucial role in the BrokenLore series. The game was developed in close collaboration with a psychologist to ensure an authentic representation of the themes explored, delving into the psychological impact of the traumatic experiences encountered by the protagonist.

Physical PS5 Release Announced for Underwater Horror Title ‘Dark Mass’ [Trailer]

on

Path Games provided an update for its in-development underwater haunted house title Dark Mass, revealing that the game will receive a physical release for PlayStation 5 as both a Standard Edition and a Collector’s Edition. The reveal also coincides with a new trailer that delves into the gameplay.

Dark Mass sees players take on the role of Alice, a deep-sea explorer who, alongside her brother Reed, stumbles upon the wreckage of an ancient ship. But beneath the ship lies they discover a manor lost to time, eerily untouched despite spending centuries in the ocean.

Alice decides to venture inside, but she soon realises that something is watching from the darkness, bound to the manor by a dark curse. Trapped within the manor’s decaying halls, Alice must now uncover the manor’s tragic past, solve puzzles based on real historical torture rituals, and make decisions that will ultimately define her fate.

Both the Standard Edition and Collector’s Edition will be published by SelectaPlay, with the Collector’s Edition having been designed “for horror fans and collectors,” bringing together a selection of physical items inspired by Alice’s journey, the mystery of the sunken manor and the unsettling atmosphere of the abyss.

The Standard Edition includes a physical copy of the game, along with an illustrated manual. Meanwhile, the Collector’s Edition includes the physical copy and manual, along with the following:

  • Collector’s Box
  • Official Art Book
  • Lenticular postcard
  • Alice’s turtle bracelet
  • Original Soundtrack in Digipack format
  • Exclusive Steelbook

In addition to the PlayStation 5, Dark Mass will be coming to the Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. The game is currently aiming for a fall 2026 release.
