Despite the cat being let out of the bag back in December, Reef Entertainment has officially revealed Terminator 2D: NO FATE, along with a September 5 release date for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and the Nintendo Switch. Sarah Connor, John Connor and the T-800 are back in this 2D action side-scroller developed by Bitmap Bureau.
Described as a love letter to 80s/90s arcade games by Bitmap Bureau’s Design Director & Programmer Mike Tucker, in Terminator 2D: NO FATE, the story blends iconic scenes from Terminator 2: Judgment Day with original scenarios and multiple endings. You play as Sarah Connor and the T-800 through a variety of missions as you take on the T-1000 and try to put a stop to Skynet’s plans before the human race is annihilated. Players will also lead the Resistance as John Connor in the future, fighting on the front lines as mankind’s only hope in the war against the machines.
Terminator 2D: NO FATE brings the legendary action film movie to life with arcade gameplay and glorious pixel artwork associated with Bitmap Bureau. The team even put together a behind-the-scenes look at how they tackled the challenge of translating one the film into a complete arcade experience, capturing its memorable scenes and iconic moments.
