Public Playtest for ‘Cthulhu Keeper’ on Now
If you were wanting to get a preview of Kuuasemais’ Lovecraftian tribute to Dungeon Keeper in Cthulhu Keeper, you’ve got your chance with a public playtest that’s on right now. No word on how long the playtest will be open, but it’s free, so get in on the fun sooner rather than later.
Those who do give the game a test are encouraged to hit up the Kuuasemais Discord to relay your impressions to the team, including any bugs you find.
Set in the 1920s, you assume the role of a cult leader looking to grow their influence by generating chaos and fear around you. In order to do that, you must build, defend, and expand your lair, summon Eldritch creatures, and orchestrate sinister missions.
Said missions range from stealing artifacts to converting new followers. You’ll also be customizing your cult leader and monsters for each mission, equipping them with helpful items and powers. Also, you’ll be giving your cultists tasks like research, monster care, and setting traps. Collect flesh, valuable artifacts, and clay tablets to fuel your research and expansion.
As your lair grows, you’ll be drawing attention from rival cults, detectives, and the police. As a result, you’ll need to set traps and strategically place spells to defend your cult against invaders.
Cthulhu Keeper is currently in development for PC via Steam.
