“Cursed Hollow” Event on Now in ‘Phasmophobia’ [Trailer]

Published

on

Kinetic Games’ new Seasonal Event for Phasmophobia is on now with “Cursed Hollow”, challenging Ghost Hunters to complete community and personal objectives while exploring nine seasonally decorated maps. Revealed during the Galaxies Showcase on Twitch, Cursed Hollow received a customary trailer, showing off the Blair Witch-esque totems that now litter the maps.

Throughout the event, players will be able to uncover mysterious Forest Minion totems that hold eerie effects – some helpful, and some hindering. The update also features a host of changes based on player feedback from previous community events, including updated rewards categories, map rotation, gameplay modifiers and more. For all the details, head over to the blog post here.

Cursed Hollow will be live for three weeks as players work together to unlock rewards. Following feedback from previous events, rewards will now come in two categories – Community and Personal. Completing Community objectives will still grant points towards the wider Community pool, while new Personal objectives will unlock after the first Community goal is reached.

The Cursed Hollow event is now available for Phasmophobia players on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and PS VR2, and the Xbox Series.

The House of The Dead fans have a new rail shooter to dive into with Alex Rassloff‘s MEATHOOK, which will be launching on Steam on July 21. If you can’t wait that long, you can check out the demo, which features seven of the game’s 10 levels.

This survival horror FPS sees you being captured by a mysterious cult, which has killed your partner and suspended you from a conveyor mechanism like a piece of meat. Making matter worse, you’re now forced to partake in a collection of ritualistic challenges, collecting weapons and cleansing the tunnels of cultists that are looking to carve you up.

Sporting throwback PS1-style graphics and gore, MEATHOOK also features a tactile physics-driven weapon system as well as a unique manual reload feature. You navigate the small interconnected levels by selecting markers to move along the conveyor that takes you throughout the levels. You’ll be stocking up on resources such as food, ammo, keys and guns.

For added replay, there are multiple paths to discover, as well as a few shortcuts. There are also secret items to discover for the completionists in mind.
