‘FBC: Firebreak’ Launches Worldwide on June 17 on PC, Consoles

Published

on

Summer is about to heat up for Control fans, as Remedy Entertainment has announced a June 17 release for the Control spin-off game, FBC: Firebreak. Revealed during the previously-announced livestream, the first self-published game for Remedy will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 for $39.99 USD, as well as day one via PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium).

Remedy also revealed the Deluxe Edition for FBC: Firebreak for $49.00 USD, which includes a collection of exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs for players looking to personalize their gear and squad identity.

The Deluxe Edition includes:

  • “The Firestarter” Premium Voice Pack

  • “The Pencil Pusher” Premium Voice Pack

  • Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves)

  • Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin

  • Golden Firebreak Spray

  • Classified Requisition: “Firestarter”: A collection of 36 unlockable cosmetic items including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets

Base game owners can upgrade to Deluxe Edition for $10.00 USD.

Remedy has also taken the time to introduce the Requisitions mechanic for FBC: Firebreak, a system that rewards players with new gear and cosmetics simply by playing the game. Requisitions can include weapons, equipment, armour, sprays, and more – all unlockable using in-game currency earned through gameplay. There are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; if an item is added in the game, it’s always available.

For those who want additional customisation options, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items – such as armour sets, custom voice packs, sprays, and weapon skins. Classified Requisitions are purchased with real money. The items are purely cosmetic, have no gameplay impact, and will remain available permanently. Read more about how Requisitions work here.

And if that’s not enough, Remedy has confirmed that there will be ongoing support post-launch, including two new Jobs (missions) coming after launch in 2025. More updates will arrive in 2026. All playable content released post launch, such as Jobs, will be free to all players.

Moon Studios dropped a new trailer during the Sony State of Play for their dark action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked, while also hinting at the long-awaited launch window for the full 1.0 release. The game, which has been in Early Access on Steam since April 2024, will be launching this October in full for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, while versions for the  Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 will arrive at a later date.

As a token of appreciation for supporters new and old, Moon Studios is offering an exclusive Early Access Founder’s Pack, a free limited edition bundle available for anyone who purchases the game on Steam prior to July 10, with rewards unlocking when 1.0 officially launches. PlayStation 5 users can receive the Early Access Founder’s Pack by pre-ordering the game once available, any time before launch day.

The Founder’s Pack includes:

  • A New Secret Hideout: Spirit Cavern – The legacy of Moon Studios now lives inside No Rest for the Wicked, exclusively for Founders. A hand-crafted home that bridges both worlds.
  • Sayer’s Vow: An all new Sword in the stone reserved just for the founders that only early adopters can extract in the game world.
  • A Custom Founders Tag ensures players are clearly identified as early adopters.
  • As a Founder member, players will get access to an exclusive Public Beta Test Realm reserved just for them, even after the 1.0 game launch.

As for the full 1.0 release, it will be a massive expansion of the core experience, introducing a staggering 60+ hours of new content, a new horde mode, powerful new weapons, bosses and enemies, new areas and a completely reimagined class system.

In No Rest for the Wicked, players take on the role of a “Cerim,” a member of a holy order imbued with mysterious powers, tasked with destroying the Pestilence, an ancient plague that has begun to consume the island Isola Sacra, itself already the site of great political upheaval and death.
