‘Terrifier: The ARTcade Game’ Slashes Onto PC and Consoles November 21 [Trailer]
SelectaPlay had said that a release date for Terrifier: The ARTcade Game was “coming soon” after the updated Steam Next Fest demo’s release, and they haven’t disappointed. Mark November 21 on your calendars for the old-school, arcade-style beat ‘em up, which will launch for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series.
Accompanying the release date announcement is a new trailer, featuring the main theme for Terrifier: The ARTcade Game, composed by none other than Cody Carpenter, son of legendary filmmaker John Carpenter, who appears courtesy of Scarlet Moon. The eerie theme sets the tone for the ominous and brutal action found within every stage.
In Terrifier: The ARTcade Game, you can go solo or team up with friends across a variety of stages in this old-school, arcade-style beat ‘em up. Each stage is a movie set where a film about Art’s past horrors is being produced. Art isn’t exactly flattered by the imitation, and as a result, he’s hellbent on disrupting and dismembering everything in his path.
Capturing the essence of the Terrifier films with bright, cartoonish pixel art and fluid animations that vividly depict the gruesome action, players will team up with up to three other players for a chaotic local co-op experience. Work together—or against each other—in various game modes, each offering its own unique challenges. From chainsaws to cleavers, you’ll have a variety of weapons at your disposal to turn your enemies into bloody pulp. Power-ups scattered throughout the stages will also give you an extra edge in combat.
Featuring six game modes, ranging from quick beat ’em up sessions or extended challenges, each mode has unique twists and obstacles to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting.
And just in case you missed it, don’t forget to reserve your copy of the physical Collector’s Edition for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch from Selecta Play or from local specialist retailers.
