Rescue The Cast of a Ghost-Hunting Show in FMV Game ‘FrighTV Presents GHOSTS’ [Trailer]

Published

on

Blending real-time gameplay with live-action footage, Cerulean Games and Visible Games have launched the Steam page for their upcoming first-person puzzle adventure FMV game FrighTV Presents GHOSTS. Coinciding with the launch of the Steam page is a new trailer, offering a glimpse of what players can expect.

Originally titled GHOSTS, the game was initially being produced by Visible Games who ran a successful Kickstarter back in 2020. However, the project was shelved until Cerulean Games acquired Visible Games in 2024, where they rebooted the project, working the project’s revival into the story.

You are the producer of GHOSTS, a once-popular supernatural TV show that’s now been resurrected on FrighTV for one night. What should have been a routine ghost-hunting broadcast quickly spirals into a nightmare as you realize the danger is real — and you are the only one who can save the cast.

Players will explore the control room and surrounding environments from a first-person perspective, piecing together what’s happening as the show’s feed comes in. Viewing live-action footage on monitors, you edit what goes on air, and coordinate responses in real time as the on-screen team investigates haunted locations. The urban legend of The Long Lady looms over every decision — one wrong move could cost the lives of your hosts.

Featuring full-motion video sequences, members of the cast from Jed Shepherd‘s hit 2020 Shudder film Host, creature designs by Trevor Henderson (creator of Siren Head), and practical effects from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, GHOSTS “blends tense first-person gameplay, real-time decision making, and live-action storytelling into a single, unforgettable horror experience.”

Konami and co-developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin have finally revealed more info on the upcoming Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, including a release date of October 15 release date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The Nintendo Switch version will arrive “later in 2026.”

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will be available in two versions: Standard and the Midnight Edition. Pre-orders are live now, sans Switch. The Midnight Edition includes:

  • A copy of the game
  • Digital Sound and Art Gallery, featuring over 100 illustrations, including concept art and sketches
  • Bonus in-game items:
    • Trevor costume
    • Sypha costume

Pre-ordering either edition will earn players an Alucard costume.

Taking place in Paris, 1499, Belmont’s Curse will see Trevor Belmont’s and his daughter, Rose Belmont (as opposed to what Sony initially “revealed”), take on Dracula’s foes.

Paris is engulfed in flames as monstrous creatures suddenly emerge from the shadows. Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula, ventures into the burning streets with his daughter, Rose Belmont. Armed with the legendary holy whip, the Vampire Killer, they hunt down the beasts bleeding from the looming castle. Rose is soon swept up in the dark conspiracy that lurks beneath. Will she succeed in saving Paris from devastation?

In addition to the Vampire Killer, Rose will have access to the Arcana System. After defeating bosses, including the likes of Medusa, Carmilla and Joan of Arc (?!), the bosses are sealed into Rose’s tarot cards, turning them into Arcana. Players can then use the bosses’ skills to cast spells and obtain unique special actions.

Players will also be able to customize Rose’s battle style by using a variety of equipment, including weapons spanning seven distinct categories and Relics that trigger powerful effects through both offense and defense.
