Those hungry for the next episode in Black Tabby Games’ horror-mystery visual novel Scarlet Hollow won’t have to wait much longer. Coming February 13 to Steam,  Episode 5 will be the penultimate “Episode,” as well as the game’s final cliffhanger. Don’t worry, as there will still be seven Episodes, but the last two are currently being worked into a single unit, split into two chapters.

According to Black Tabby Games’ Abby Howard and Tony Howard-Arias, Episode 5 is described as having “a lot of branching and player agency in it,” and will also be the first time the story can become locked in to early conclusions. However, these endings will still have additional content waiting for them in The Final Chapters. “They’ll also be heavily (diegetically) signposted, and it will be difficult to reach these branches accidentally. This will be the most replayable Episode to date, with many routes to explore with the same start of chapter save file.”

Pearlanne Scarlet, your aunt and owner of the Hollow’s Scarlet Mine, left your cousin Tabitha the heavy burdens of leadership in the wake of her passing.
