After revealing the first gameplay teaser for Paranormal Activity: Threshold last October, DreadXP and developer DarkStone Digital have announced that they will be presenting the first playable demo at PAX East 2026 from March 26th to 29th in Boston, Massachusetts. Attendees can get a chance to check out the demo at the DreadXP booth (13109 and 15108).
Paranormal Activity: Threshold follows Daniel and Jessica Stewart as they record the process of remodeling their first home. The more they document their renovations, the more they realize that the house is hiding much more than just asbestos and faulty wiring. Their excitement turns into concern as they uncover strange markings and items hidden within the walls, revealing that they’re not the only inhabitants of their new home. The couple is unprepared for the horrifying events that follow, as they sink deeper into the influences of the dark presence residing there.
The upcoming game will offer immersive gameplay, allowing fans to experience the franchise’s trademark supernatural terror first-hand, encouraging players to search for more answers buried in the cursed Stewart home. While further details are still to come, the game will feature multiple timelines, as players hunt and communicate with the entities in the house. There will also be multiple endings, and the game’s engine will make every playthrough “unique”.
Paranormal Activity: Threshold is currently in development for release on PC via Steam.
