Early VR Mod for ‘Resident Evil Requiem’ Now Available [Video]

While it took just over a year for modders to get a VR mod for Resident Evil Village off the ground, they’ve wasted no time this time for the PC version of Resident Evil Requiem. Per GamesRadar, the mod is not quite complete, but what is here should keep fans happy until Capcom decides to add VR support for Requiem.

Created by Talemann1982 using Village VR modder praydog’s framework, you can check out the (preliminary) VR version of Requiem in action via the footage from YouTuber Gamertag VR below.

According to the description, the mod will allow you to play Requiem in 6DOF with your motion controllers. You’ll also be able to use the controllers for swinging Leon’s axe. Head-mounted display movement is possible, but the mod doesn’t support it just yet.

Seeing as Requiem already has a first-person mode, the added touch of VR appears to work quite nicely. Furthermore, when it comes to the cutscenes, you get a full view of the area while you watch the character play out in the cutscene.

As mentioned, the mod still needs a bit of work in places, but you can check it out now via NexusMods, and keep tabs on the upcoming builds.
