Get ready to be on the run in Mirabilis Astrum’s newly-announced atmospheric survival horror title, Whispers of the Tallgrass. Coming later this year to Steam, you’ll be venturing into and abandoned industrial wasteland that’s been overtaken by tall grass. Oh, and there’s something lurking in said tall grass that’s taken a keen interest in you.
Whispers of the Tallgrass aims to have you on the edge of your seat, thanks to its focus on immersion. You’ll need to listen carefully in order to determine through the stereotypical sounds of night in the woods the sounds of whatever it is that’s out there hunting you. Hunting you by sight, sound and smell, you’ll need to plan your route in advance, moving constantly, but also trying to remain as hidden as possible.
At the same time, you’ll need to be on the lookout for notes and tablets left by others in order to piece together just what’s going on. You’ll also be finding key items that are necessary for your escape. Depending on what you find and what risks you are willing to take will lead to one of many different outcomes.
Whatever is stalking you isn’t the only strange thing in this wasteland. You’ll also happen upon strange anomalies and encounters that can lead to “unforeseen consequences.” Luckily, you’re able to save your progress, but only at certain places, giving each of your decisions additional weight and tension.
