Way back in 2021, JanduSoft had released their P.T.-inspired horror title Evil Inside to PC and consoles. Now, the developer has teamed with the Spanish virtual reality specialist studio Bowl of Tentacles to bring fans Evil Inside VR, which will launch on May 7 for PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest 3. Rather than a simple port of the original title, Evil Inside VR has been rebuilt as an original experience for VR.
Described as “a complete reinterpretation” designed specifically for VR, this new version introduces a fully revamped sound system to create an oppressive atmosphere, updated lighting designed to generate constant tension, controls completely adapted for VR, and changes to both the narrative and puzzle design.
Evil Inside has you playing as Mark, who after the death of his mother and the arrest of his father (for causing said death), decides to contact his mother through a Ouija board. But something goes wrong, and Mark’s descent into the unknown begins. Players will explore a house designed to make you feel trapped in a hostile, shifting, and tension-filled environment.
