Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA are giving Nioh 3 fans some love with a brand new update next week on April 27 while the devteams work on the game’s DLC. The free update adds new high-difficulty Battle Scrolls, new skills as rewards for completing those Battle Scrolls, a new item and more.
“We would first like to express our gratitude to the many players around the world who have taken the time to play Nioh 3 since its release,” reads the message from producer Kohei Shibata. “We are currently hard at work developing future updates and DLC for the game. I would also like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce the free update scheduled for release on April 27. This update will primarily introduce new features and content designed to enhance the Nioh 3 gameplay experience.”
Shibata went on to say that details for the update will be made available on the game’s X account. Meanwhile, the team will continue to release updates for Nioh 3 leading up to the DLC releases planned “for later this year.”
Meanwhile, here’s the rundown on what’s included with the update:
- Addition of multiple high-difficulty Battle Scrolls (side missions).
- Addition of the Stone of Penance, which increases accessory +Values and rarities in exchange for higher difficulties.
- Addition of new skills as rewards for completing selected high-difficulty Battle Scroll missions.
- Balance adjustments to enhance certain Graces.
Nioh 3 is currently available for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
