The wait for NACON Connect turned out to be well worth it, as the publisher not only updated fans on what’s coming to titles already out in the wild, but also those still in development. That includes more footage for games such as last month’s reveal of Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish, as well as a brand new reinterpretation of Dracula, and a new entry in the Werewolf: The Apocalypse series!
Previously teased during the Xbox Partner Showcase, Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish gets a new developer diary. Developed by Teyon, the supernatural creature-hunting franchise returns to video games with a first-person action-RPG. The game immerses players in a dark vision of New York, where vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural horrors lurk and scheme in the shadows. Players assume the role of a Hunter, or humans who have discovered the horrifying truth that monsters secretly rule our world, and have decided to track them down. The game is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, with a summer 2027 release window.
Montreal-based studio Crea-ture are working on a new entry in the Werewolf: The Apocalypse franchise with a top-down metroidvania in Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Rageborn. Set for release in 2027, the game grants players the ability to switch between 3 forms (human, wolf, and werewolf) to lead the fight against the mega-corporation Pentex. This follows Cyanide Studio’s 2021 effort in Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood.
Speaking of Cyanide Studio, they will be tackling the Dracula myth in a new puzzle game concept in Dracula: The Disciple. Further details are still to come, but the game sees the player embody an archivist with an incurable disease in search of a cure. Only mastery of the occult arts and esoteric instruments forgotten in Dracula’s castle could save them, or even grant them eternal life…
Elsewhere, ACE Team updates fans on the progress of The Mound: Omen Of Cthulhu with a commented gameplay video of the upcoming cooperative game. Look for The Mound on July 15 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft‘s cosmic horror short novel, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu invites players to form a squad of 2 to 4 members to embark on an uncharted continent in search of a legendary city containing invaluable treasures.
After a launching in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Rogue Factor is bringing their open world epic Hell is Us to the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24. For those that need reminding, Hell is Us takes place in Hadea, a mysterious fictional country cut off from the world and ravaged by a deadly civil war. Remi, the game’s protagonist, was born there but was smuggled out by his parents when he was a child. Now a peacekeeper sent on a mission to this territory, he sees his return as an opportunity to uncover the secrets of his origins and the reasons that forced his parents to abandon him.
