Not to be outdone by the World of Darkness visual novels, The Curiosity Engine has their own brand of vampiric RPG on the way with Nighthawks. Only this time, the secret world of vampires is already out, and seeing as you’re one of them, you’ve got to make the most of it.
Six months ago, you died and were reborn as a vampire. Unfortunately for you and your kind vampires have finally been exposed. Luckily, your existence is more or less tolerated, but that doesn’t solve your thirst for blood. You’ve arrived in the one city willing to promise vampires a fresh start, but suspicion and paranoia are still very much present. However, you’re in luck when you’ve been allowed to take over a failing nightclub, giving you the opportunity to turn it into your personal empire through seduction, intimidation, and careful use of secret supernatural Gifts.
Nighthawks boasts over 800,000 words of stories and secrets, from the hilarious to the horrific. The game will dig into every corner of a world where vampires no longer own the shadows and both the living and the dead have much to learn. You job, of course, is to build up your nightclub empire to act as a light in the darkness that brings lonely souls together and turns fellow outcasts into found family. Or, you can take advantage of your position to feed your own thirst and ambitions.
You’ll be able to recruit ten companions to aid you in your mission, ranging from other vampires, con-artists and more. You also have your vampire magic to use and abuse, including Mesmerism for exerting control over the living, Natural Dominion for making animals do your bidding, and more.
