Back in December, Eldamar Studio revealed its debut title in the atmospheric horror adventure Lucid Falls. The devteam has followed at up at The MIX Summer Game Showcase with a new trailer for the game, which features more of the jaw-dropping Unreal Engine visuals, as well as a short tease of some in-development gameplay footage.
“We’re excited to immerse people in the dark, dreamlike atmosphere of Lucid Falls once more with this new trailer,” said Yurii Radkevych, Creative Director at Eldamar Studio. “We’re looking forward to diving in deeper in the future and we hope the little snippets of gameplay we’ve teased in this new trailer will tide you over until we are ready to share more.”
Lucid Falls sees players trapped inside a lucid dream, and must fight to survive in surreal, horrifying worlds. Seeing as you’re in a dream, you can manipulate reality itself by altering gravity, space, and time to uncover hidden paths and solve puzzles. The focus for the game is mood, using strong visual direction and atmospheric environments to bring the experience to life.
The game places a heavy emphasis on generating atmosphere, bleeding through in dreamlike cinematic visuals, haunting sound design and terrifying monsters.
