Kickstarter on Now for Asymmetrical Slasher ‘Last Summer’ [Trailer]
The road to release for Silent Lamb Studio’s Last Summer takes the game to Kickstarter, where the campaign is on now for the next month. Fans can support the game’s development, unlock exclusive rewards, and help shape the future of a terrifying new universe inspired by classic slasher films.
To mark the launch of the campaign, Silent Lamb Studio has also unveiled the first gameplay trailer, offering players a glimpse at the game’s brutal hunter-and-prey gameplay, cinematic kills, and the blood-soaked nightmare awaiting Silent Lamb Camp.
“We’ve always loved the tension, atmosphere, and unpredictability of classic slasher movies, and Last Summer is our love letter to that genre,” said Studio Head at Silent Lamb Studio Tomasz Dutkiewicz. “Launching on Kickstarter allows us to bring players into the process and build this nightmare together. We can’t wait for fans to experience the world of Last Summer and help us shape what comes next.”
What begins as one final carefree getaway quickly descends into terror. Arriving at Silent Lamb Camp ahead of the summer season, a group of friends spend their nights drinking, laughing, and sharing ghost stories around the campfire. But when the legend of a masked killer, said to arrive aboard a ghostly train and leave nothing but blood and silence in his wake, proves to be more than just a story, their final night becomes a desperate fight for survival.
In Last Summer, players must hunt or be hunted. As the killer, the objective is simple: stalk the shadows, isolate victims, and eliminate every last survivor. As campers, players must work together, search for resources, and use every opportunity to escape before it is too late. With multiple routes to freedom, dynamic encounters, and constant tension, every match unfolds differently, and every decision could be your last.
Each survivor brings their own strengths and attributes to the fight, allowing players to approach every encounter differently, while extensive cosmetic customization offers the chance to create their own unique look. Campers can equip items, coordinate with teammates, and even fight back when cornered, while killers can unleash brutal execution moves designed to spread fear throughout the camp. Set within a completely original universe, Last Summer aims to deliver a fresh take on asymmetrical horror built around community-driven development.
Last Summer is currently in development for release on Steam.
