Original ‘Dying Light’ Now on PlayStation Plus Extra

Techland’s Dying Light still endures over a decade after its release. And if for some reason you still haven’t joined the more than 50 million players worldwide who have enjoyed the game, you can now play it as part of the PlayStation Plus Extra service.

The news comes after Techland quietly dropped a new update for Dying Light, which focused on some “minor fixes.” This comes after a year since the Retouched Update, which was released as part of the franchise’s 10-year celebration, giving the game a graphical overhaul, as well as a remastered soundtrack by composer Paweł Blaszczak.

“There’s never been a better time to discover the Dying Light universe,” says Paweł Kopiński, Techland’s Head of Live Products. “Whether returning to Harran after years away or stepping into the city for the very first time. This is where players get to know Kyle Crane – an iconic character voiced by Roger Craig Smith – and experience the beginning of a story that continues in Dying Light: The Beast.”

And to further speak to the enduring appeal of the game, the devs have released a new devlog that delves into just why after 11 years, the game that specialized in open world zombie combat still remains alive to this day.

In addition to the PlayStation 5, Dying Light is also available on Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
