‘Maneater 2’ Announced, Taking a Bite in 2027 [Trailer]

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water. Tripwire Interactive and developer Demiurge Studios have announced a sequel to their 2020 “ShaRkPG” with Maneater 2, coming next year to PC via Steam and the Epic Gamest Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and the Nintendo Switch 2. Revealed during Sony State of Play this morning, players once again take on the role of a shark looking to eat, explore and ultimately evolve their way to freedom.

Maneater 2 takes place during an invite-only preview event for Neptune’s Kingdom, an ultra-luxury private island theme park. Described by the park’s CEO Victor Reardon as “your exclusive gateway to the grandeur of Ancient Rome”—and attractively branded as such—the park combines the excess of Las Vegas with the whimsy of Anaheim, aiming to be the type of gargantuan venture that’s the first of its kind.

Obviously, that leaves plenty of opportunity for you to chow down.

Maneater fans will be pleased to know that Trip Westhaven is back (once again voiced by Chris Parnell) as your go-to source for color commentary and one-sided conversations. And as before, you’ll earn experience and evolve your shark as you complete objectives and gain experience.
