With Castlevania‘s 40th anniversary right around the corner, you’re probably itching to get to play Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. We’re still a month away, but co-developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin have made the wait a little easier with a brand new demo for the upcoming sidescroller, which you can check out on October 1.
Per the official site, the demo will cover the game’s opening chapter. And for those curious, your progress in the demo will be transferred over to the full release when it launches.
Medieval Paris, 1499. The city is engulfed in flames as monstrous creatures suddenly emerge from the shadows.
Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula, ventures into the burning streets with his daughter, Rose Belmont. Armed with the legendary holy whip, the Vampire Killer, they hunt down the beasts bleeding from the looming castle.
Rose is soon swept up in the dark conspiracy that lurks beneath. Will she succeed in saving Paris from devastation?
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will arrive October 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. The Nintendo Switch version will arrive “later in 2026.”
