Netflix continues to venture into video games, this time with a surprising expansion of The Conjuring universe with the upcoming game The Conjuring: Unspoken.
The cinematic, cloud-based game will arrive sometime in October, with exact timing to be announced. It’s currently listed as “coming soon.“
That means that there are no additional images or gameplay details at this time, including how or when exactly it ties into the larger franchise. We do know that it takes place at a haunted hotel that’s brand new to the series.
The official synopsis reads: “What is haunting the Red Lion Inn? Scan for paranormal signals and investigate the eerie events troubling a grieving family in this cinematic game.“
It sounds as though players will take over for Ed and Lorraine Warren on the investigating.
This will be the first stand-alone game in the series; Fortnite previously included The Conjuring: Last Rites themed map ahead of the film’s release last year.
There are currently nine films in The Conjuring universe — The Conjuring, Annabelle, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun, Annabelle Comes Home, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, The Nun 2, and last year’s The Conjuring: Last Rites. Upcoming prequel movie The Conjuring: First Communion is headed to theaters on September 10, 2027.
