Epic Games has followed up with the cryptic post on X announcing this year’s Fortnitemares even for Fortnite with a live-action teaser trailer that is equally cryptic, but all the more scary. With the event kicking off on October 1, we still don’t have the details for all of the collaborations, but as mentioned, dataminers have given fans a glimpse as to what to expect.
As mentioned before, noted Fortnite leaker HYPEX posted earlier this week about some of the all-but-confirmed crossovers, as well as some rumoured crossovers. The one that most likely will happen is with Five Nights at Freddy’s, thanks in part again to datamining, as well as FNAF creator Scott Cawthon coincidentally getting in on the fun.
Those who have itchy fingers will have no doubt paused and gone frame by frame with this new teaser to determine any clues as to what other collabs Fortnitemares has in store this year. Indeed, there’s “blink and you’ll miss it” teases for things such as Beetlejuice, The Exorcist, Predator, Slender Man and Obsession. Again, nothing is confirmed yet.
One crossover that has been confirmed is with Section 9 Interactive’s upcoming End of Abyss, which will have a skin launching on October 1. Another crossover revealed last night (again, thanks to datamining and HYPEX) is with Control Resonant and a Dylan Faden skin. No word on when that will be available.
