Breaking Dimensions and Polygon Dust have announced an October 27 release date for their first-person dinosaur horror game, Welcome to Sunnybrook. In addition, the teams have released a new gameplay trailer.
From the creators of Oakwood and Rip Current (which also happen to involve dinosaurs) comes a new dinosaur horror experience set in the idyllic lakeside community of Sunnybrook. Set in the 1990s, Welcome to Sunnybrook puts players in the role of a burglar targeting the luxurious vacation homes of an exclusive lakeside community. Pick locks, crack safes, disable security systems, and loot the homes of the wealthy. Of course, once dinosaurs turn Sunnybrook into a hunting ground, you getting rich takes a back seat to getting out alive.
Focusing on exploration, stealth, and survival, you have no weapons to rely on. As a result, players must sneak past prehistoric predators, find places to hide, and outsmart their pursuers whenever possible. Explore the community’s homes, streets, school, and local businesses as you search for a way to escape.
