Rumour: ‘Silent Hill’ Remake Coming in 2027, First Casting Details Revealed

We already know Konami is forging ahead with new Silent Hill games, and they’ve mentioned before how they plan on having yearly entries. With all that being said, just where is Bloober Team’s Silent Hill remake? Well, according to a report from MP1st, we may very well see the remake of the 1999 survival horror classic in 2027.

According to the report, the remake is currently being developed under the codename “Project G”, while the casting codename is “Project Noise”, with a release window of next year. And speaking of casting, MP1st states that the first cast names attached to star in the remake include Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew. Specific roles for the actresses aren’t known at this time, however.

While having mainly worked in television, Gabrielle Fritz does have some video game credits, having worked on titles including Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Luna Abyss. Meanwhile, Jade Matthew’s credits include Korean MMORPG Dragon Nest.

Currently, no names have been tied to the role of Silent Hill‘s protagonist, Harry Mason.

Meanwhile, Bloober Team has its hands in a couple of metaphorical pies at the moment, notably Cronos: Lazarus, the upcoming DLC expansion for Cronos: The New Dawn, and its upcoming multiplayer horror game, Saw: Genesis.
