“In Heaven” From ‘Eraserhead’ Slowed Down Is Absolutely Beautiful

David Lynch’s first full length film Eraserhead is still one of his most discussed works. The surreal imagery and dark story still resonate with viewers nearly 40 years later.

Perhaps one of the more enduring aspects of the film is the song “In Heaven”, which was written and performed by Peter Ivers. The song has become a cultural icon and has since been covered by a multitude of bands and performers.

In the below video, YouTube user SlowMotionTV has taken that track and stretch it 10x to create an ambient, ethereal piece that is hauntingly hovers as a soothingly beautiful soundscape. Definitely a way to relax your way into the week.
