Stan Winston School of Character Arts shared a gem from their archives, posted back in 2010.
What you’ll see below is an early Pumpkinhead movement test. In it, “Tom Woodruff, Jr. rehearses in a very rough, unpainted Pumpkinhead suit while his SWS cohorts puppeteer the tail with external marionette wires,” they explain. “Notice the holes in the neck that allow Tom to see.”
Stan Winston directed the 1988 film that starred Lance Henricksen as a man who conjures up a gigantic vengeance demon called Pumpkinhead to destroy the teenagers who accidentally killed his son.
