‘Extinction’ Trailer Keeps Zombies Fresh With the Cold!

Extinction

“Lost” star Matthew Fox was edited out of World War Z, but will get another chance to fight off the undead.

ET shared the first trailer for Extinction (formerly Welcome to Harmony), a new horror film helmed by Kidnapped‘s Miguel Ángel Vivas.

Also starring Jeffrey Donovan (“Burn Notice”) with Ahna O’Reilly (The Help), Quinn McColgan (Non-Stop) and Clara Lago (I Want You), Extinction looks like an impressive new take on the zombie subgenre – if the weather is freeing cold, it’ll slow down the decomposing process. Also, watch for a sweet homage to Friday the 13th. Let us know if you catch it!

In Extinction, “Nine years after an infection turns most of the humanity into rabid creatures, Patrick, Jack and Lu, a nine-year-old girl, survive in seeming peace and calm in the forgotten snow-covered town of Harmony. We nonetheless sense that something terrible happened between Patrick and Jack because a deep hate keeps them apart. When the infected appear again, Patrick and Jack will have to leave behind all rancor to protect the one being who means more to them than anything else.

Pan’s Labyrinth takes place in 1944, in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War.

Young Ofelia and her pregnant mother have been brought to live in the countryside, where her brutal stepfather Captain Vidal’s job is to wipe out the remaining rebels camped in the local forest. Nearby, in a hidden labyrinth, Ofelia meets an ageless Faun, who tells her that she is really a princess from an enchanted world. He gives her three tasks which she must complete in order to reclaim her rightful place. As her mother’s failing health threatens the life of her unborn child, Ofelia undertakes a quest to complete the Faun’s tasks.
