Electronic group Health have released a crazy music video for their track “Stonefist”, which comes from their new album Death Magic, an album that our own Mr. Disgusting told me, “…is a fucking snap kick to your head.” The video, directed by Naked Faces, shows the band performing in a dark space with bright spotlights illuminating them at choice moments. This is interspersed with scenes of choreographed dancing and, believe it or not, surgery clips.
What makes this video so effective is that it actually feels intense and sharp. Every edit is jarring and it culminates in a commentary on how far we’d go to “look beautiful” and stand out in front of the camera. It’s very Nip/Tuck, I gotta say.
