I can’t tell you the number of hours I spent playing both Diablo. Hundreds, probably. It was that kind of game where I just couldn’t stop, I was enjoying it every second!
But the thing that I always looked forward to was casting a Town Portal spell (or using a scroll) and listening to Matt Uelmen‘s gorgeous “Tristram” theme. A mysterious and beautiful track, I would always linger in town for that extra little bit, just to hear more of that song.
Below is a cover of “Tristram” done by the Super Guitar Bros. It’s a wonderful cover as their guitars almost speak the melodies to each other, going back and forth with different passages. Quite the nostalgic piece.
