Gremlins Invade ‘The Exorcist’, ‘Batman’, And More!
Remember in Gremlins 2 where the film seemed to break and suddenly some gremlins went into the “projection booth”? Well, for the VHS version of the film, at this point the Gremlins began invading other properties, most notably taking on John Wayne at his cattle ranch. Meanwhile, the DVD version of the film kept the original theatrical version.
But Brussels-based filmmaker Sacha Feiner decided to create his own version of the “Gremlins in other films” gag by hand creating an amazing alternate reel that includes the creatures venturing into films like The Exorcist, Batman, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, and more!
Feiner explains how he made this clip:
The creatures effects are all made with puppets. I made a new mold out of a hard cast of one of the original sculptures from the production. I created a batch of new foam puppets especially for this project. Their performances are enhanced by computer effects, which makes them able to do nearly anything, from running to jumping or facial expressions. The entire shooting takes place in a bluescreen studio, arranged in my basement, in order to superimpose the gremlins in the chosen movies.
It’s seriously entertaining, so make sure to give it a view below!

Written by Roth and longtime friend Noah Belson, Ice Cream Man is set in the idyllic summer town of Bayleen Bay, where sheer terror ensues as an ice cream man serves up sweet delights — with horrifying results.
Ari Millen (“Orphan Black”) stars in the titular role along with Benjamin Byron Davis (Red Dead Redemption), Karen Cliche (Thanksgiving), Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), and Charlie Storey.
Snoop Dogg — who’s also working with Roth on Don’t Go in That House, Bitch — is contributing music to the film, along with composer Brandon Roberts (Thanksgiving).
The prosthetic makeup effects are handled by Oscar winner Adrien Morot (The Whale, Thanksgiving) and Steve Newburn (Frankenstein, Thanksgiving).
Ice Cream Man is Executive Produced by Grammy-winning rap icon Nas.
It’s worth noting that Roth’s Ice Cream Man has nothing to do with the ’90s movie starring Clint Howard. A sequel to that film, however, has been trying to get off the ground for years.
