“Shark Week” is a really bad week to be a Seal.
Believe it or not, we’re coming up on the 29th annual “Shark Week,” Discovery’s week-long celebration of the most fascinating predators in the sea. This year’s event kicks off on Sunday, July 23rd at 7pm, and Discovery is going BIG as they approach the televised event’s 30th anniversary.
On Tuesday, July 18th, select theaters nationwide will premiere a brand new 2017 special alongside an unannounced special from last year. The Fathom Events screening has been dubbed “Shark Week At the Movies,” allowing mega fans to experience “Shark Week” on a bigger screen than ever before.
In the meantime, the first promo teaser for “Shark Week” 2017 just hit the other day; in it, singer Seal is mistaken for, well, a seal, leading him to be devoured by a shark in a Deep Blue Sea-inspired scene that is both hilarious and awesome. Check it out below!
