[Video] 20-Minute Compilation of Every Fake-Out Scare in ‘Friday the 13th’ Franchise

Cats love to scare people in these movies.

We’ve seen countless Friday the 13th tribute videos over the years, most of them highlighting things such as the different looks of Jason Voorhees and the best kills in the franchise. But this latest clip compilation, well, it’s a pretty damn unique one.

YouTuber WatstonTheScot just cut together every fake-out scare in the Friday the 13th films (including Freddy vs. Jason and the remake), which make for a 20-minute video full of overzealous cats and ominous shots of boots that sure as hell look like they belong to Jason Voorhees.

There are TONS of fake-out moments in the Friday movies, most of which are of the “cheap jump scare” variety. For the first time ever, you can now watch them in one fell swoop!

God bless you, internet.

insidious 5 trailer

In the wake of last year’s box office hit Insidious: The Red Door, Sony has announced tonight that the next installment in the Insidious franchise has been dated for 2025 release.

You can expect the untitled next movie in theaters August 29, 2025.

Deadline notes in their report tonight that this particular project is NOT the previously announced spinoff movie Thread: An Insidious Tale, which doesn’t yet have a release date.

Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani will star in Thread: An Insidious Tale.

Director James Wan’s original Insidious movie in 2011 was followed by Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013), Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015), Insidious: The Last Key (2018), and last year’s Insidious: The Red Door, which became the highest grossing movie in the entire franchise thus far.

Needless to say, this franchise still has a lot of life left in it. Stay tuned for more.
